Keith Mendenhall passed away Wednesday, August 27, 1997, at the age of 59, after a long struggle with illness. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors and all who knew him. Born April 4, 1938, son of Spencer Malin and Cora Chambers Mendenhall of Payson. He was a member of the LDS Church. Keith loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He spent his working life as a baker and for a short time a truck driver. He married Jane Tolman, February 19, 1958; later divorced. Children are, Brent Keith (Mary), Robert Lynn (Melissa), and Neil Spencer (Jennifer). Married Kathryn Francom, July 9, 1976, and were sealed in the Provo LDS Temple a year later. Adopted Lisa Gillman (Clint), Suzanne, Angela Love (Gary), and Michael Jon (Madelyn). Brother to Kay Mendenhall (Marda), of Springville; Linda Carter (David), of Payson. He will be missed greatly by 16 adoring grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Spencer Malin Mendenhall and a granddaughter, Whitney Gillman. Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 30, at 1 p.m. in the American Fork 13th Ward, 975 North 60 East. Friends may call at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Friday 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
