  It is possible that an Ancestor of William Cloward was found in the original settlements of southeast Pennsylvania. There are two entries in the 1689 List of Land-Holders of Chester County, Pennsylvania: "Wm. Clowd," 150 acres; and "William Clowd," 500 acres. Is it possible that these were the ancestors of this particular William? CHILD: Ancestry.com lists at least one marriage record 18 May 1762 between Lyddia Cloward & Benjamin Davies at Lebanon, Pennsylvania at a Lutheran church. Is it possible this is one of William's daughters?
