  BIRTH: DeLong Church Records list name as "Johannes Kumpf," birthdate as 24 Jun 1776 with parents "William" and "Eva Margretha." Grave marker lists birthdate as 25 Jun 1776. NAME: Common surname spelling is KUMPF and KUMPFF. IGI displays christening occurred at Delong's Reformed Church as "John Kumpf." Common German spelling in historical documents is Johannes Kumpf. Although John's name is frequently written as "John Kumpf," his grave marker list "John Kump." BURIAL: John is buried on the same plot as Henrich Kump, demonstrating a strong verification that in fact that the two are brothers.
