      Alva William Steadman
      "TOGETHER FOREVER"
      Alva William Steadman, 94, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away December 31, 1997.He was born December 3, 1903 in West Jordan, Utah to Walter William and Mary Elizabeth Margetts Steadman. He married Esther Grace Nichols in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 28, 1932. Grace preceded him in death May 19, 1997. Alva worked for the Salt Lake and Utah Railroad, U. S. Smelter and Welch Milling Mill and was a lifetime farmer. Alva took pride in his large and beautiful garden and shared the produce with his friends and neighbors.
      Survivors: children, Dale Edward (Kathy) Steadman; Elden Alve (Connie) Steadman; Norma Grace Woodard; Mary Ann Steadman; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, DelVora King and Melba Edgecomb. Preceded in death by daughters, Carol Jean and Vicky Lee Steadman; parents; two brothers and two sisters.
      Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 1998 at 12 Noon in the West Jordan 29th LDS Ward Chapel 6695 South 2200 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Sunday 5-7 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
